    Hints ‘N’ Tips!

These guidelines are intended to help your little guests enjoy the mascot visit. Some little people love it, and some need a little time to adjust to their favorite character visiting them at a party!!!

When the mascot is introduced in the right way, and in the right environment, a mascot visit can be an unforgettable experience your child will love.

Please ensure you have read our terms and conditions of hire as this IS NOT A SAFETY LIST.

Please USE YOUR OWN COMMON SENSE to ensure the safety of your guests at all times and ensure rental instructions terms and conditions are followed:

Make sure all little guests are prepared for the surprise by playing relevant music or announcing the surprise guest arrival prior to their arrival. Print some colouring sheets from Google for the guests to colour & show mascots when they arrive. Enter the room at a distance and keep the mascot at a distance from the children until the children start to approach the mascot. Get the mascot to sit down for introductions.

It is recommended the children are invited to approach the mascot. It is not recommended to allow the mascot to approach the children. Do not ‘pat’ the children on the head or go to pick them up as they will usually be quite upset at this until they are used to the mascot being around.

Keep the mascot visit to under 10 mins. At a time. After this time even little ones become inquisitive!

    Don’t speak at all.

Don’t let little ones see you remove the costume or put it on.

Don’t let older siblings bully the mascot.

Don’t allow the mascot to carry cakes / objects

Always chaperone the mascot to ensure they have a clear path. Little guests can REALLY believe that the mascot is the real deal, so to have the best time, please be aware that it can take a few mins for little guests to get used to the visitor, so please take your time, and have fun!
